Quiz Night
(with Cottage Pie and a sweet)
Thursday 19th March
19:00 in St George’s Church
Come and join us for a quiz night – lots of questions from different interests and areas of life. Plenty of time to socialise and catch up with friends.
Teams could be any number up to six per table.
The cost of the event will be £9.00.
(Tickets need to be purchased in advance).
There will be a prize of 10% of the takings, up to a maximum of £30.00
Any surplus will be counted as a fund raiser and split between St George’s Church and Friends of St George’s Church.

Mothering Sunday 10.30am Service with the giving of a posy.
Tuesday 24th
Movie Club 7.30pm
Join us for a screening of “Judy” in the community centre. £2.00

Sunday 12th
Easter Day Brunch
This will follow the Easter Day service. A good chance to get together, share the joy of Easter and also to catch up with members of the church family. We ask that you bring something to share. There is a list at the back of church so that you can let other people know what you are bringing
Sunday 26th
St George ’s Day Celebration
This is our Patronal Festival where we celebrate the life of St George ’s church with members of the church family and also members of the communities who live and work closely with the church. Our Mayor and MP will be joining us. At the end of the service we give out our cheques to help the many good things that are happening in our area. There will be a buffet meal at the end of the service.

Monday 1st
Movie Club 7.30pm
Join us for a screening of “Two Popes” in the community centre. You are asked to bring something simple to share as a snack during the interval. Cost £2.00

Wine and Cheese Evening — 7.00pm to 9.00pm at the Vicarage.

Talk by Samara Levy Samara
Samara is the Founder and CEO of Samara’s Aid Appeal which provides medical and humanitarian aid in Syria and the Middle East and is a great, inspirational speaker. She is also the author of “Rebuilding the Ruins: Following God's call to serve Syria” Details to be announced shortly.
