Services at St George's Church
Sunday:
10:30 am Sung Eucharist
"Do this in remembrance of me"
A service where we respond to Jesus asking us to celebrate as a family, to share a basic meal, and to allow him to be with us in a special way in bread and wine. We also read scripture, we are guided as to meaning in sermons, we pray for people's needs.
This is a service with music and hymns.
Young people are welcome, and we have a dedicated children's area where young children can play. There is a Sunday School which takes place during the first half of the service, where older children and their parents can look at the theme for the Sunday service.
Refreshments are served after the service, and there is time to chat and get to know each other.
Healing Service
"Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord"
On the first Sunday of the month, during the Eucharist, we invite people to come forward and be anointed with oil blessed by the Bishop during Holy Week. You might ask for healing for yourself, or for someone who is close to you.
