At St George’s Church we believe that we should be sharing our space with the local community, both allowing them to use the space themselves, and bringing new and fresh acts alongside old favourites.

St George’s provides a magnificent grade II listed Regency style auditorium.

 

The venue is excellent for music events – it has a very clear and fine acoustic, and the main audience area can be set out as a familiar auditorium or for café style entertainment to mention but two.

 

Numbers

We can have 300 people on the ground floor, and a further 250 people in the balconies.

Alcohol

We have a community license, and so we can work with you on the provision of alcoholic beverages.

​

The Team

We have our friendly bookings managers to show you around, answer your questions and explain how to get the best out of our facilities

​

Safe and Secure

If you are putting on a big show, we also have the team at Melting Vynal.  They are professionals who will look after bookings, caretaking and security – taking the strain away by helping you organise your event and giving you more time for what is important – your music.

Accessible

The lower floor is fully accessible. 

​

Toilets

We have men and women’s toilets and an accessible toilet which can be used by wheelchair users.
