WORSHIP
Worship is at the heart of our Christian community and is a source of both joy and strength. Through worship, we are nourished in our faith and inspired to live out God's love in the world and within our local community.
Our Vicar, Father Andrew, has faithfully served St George's for over 30 years and offers a warm welcome to everyone, whether you are a long-standing member of the congregation, exploring the Christian faith, or simply visiting.
We gather every Sunday at 10:30am to celebrate the Eucharist - a sharing in the life of Christ and a source of spiritual nourishment and strength - and to pray together.
A children's area is available, allowing younger members of the congregation to relax during the service.
Afterwards, everyone is invited to stay for tea, coffee and cake. It's a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, catch up with friends, and enjoy fellowship together.
UPCOMING SERVICES
We are currently in the Season of Trinity (also known as Trinitytide) which is the long period in the Christian liturgical calendar that begins on Trinity Sunday (the Sunday after Pentecost).
Spanning roughly six months until the start of Advent, this season focuses on spiritual growth, everyday faith, and the teachings of Jesus. The colour of the vestments worn by the priest are green to symbolize hope, life, and continuous growth.
Rather than celebrating a specific event in Christ's life (like Christmas or Easter), the season reflects on the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit and Jesus's teachings in daily life.
